This book is intrinsically old-school... when building a snail mailing list was all the rage at the time; and giving your customers the best possible service to generate the referrals that are, as you’ll discover in the book, the backbone of any business; has a far longer shelf life than could ever be imagined, as the principals to building a successful business haven’t changed. Only the tools have evolved. So what then? I think you’ve read my mind already. Make sure you use these incredible entrepreneur ideas in today’s business environment. I think the key word I’m looking for is: adapt.

In conclusion: I couldn’t resist lifting some Hot Points from Ken Varga’s book. Planning is Key to your success. Know why you want to go into business. Know what business suits you. Know yourself in relation to your customers. Know that you must stay in touch with your customers by phone, mail, fax, email and in person. Give a gift. Know the customer service policies you must practice. Plan your business. Plan your marketing. Adhere to your policies and see to it that your employees do also.
